While Homi Adajania has taken over as director of the Hindi Medium sequel, adman Saket Chaudhary, who had helmed the original, is gearing up for his next. Mirror has learnt that the film will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and is scheduled to go on the floors by the year-end.
The producer-director duo have reportedly considered three scripts in the last few months before zeroing in on one, which is another social drama with a message and an element of comedy, just like the Irrfan Khan-starrer.
“Saket is deciding on his cast now. The shoot is likely to take off in Mumbai,” a source close to the development told Mirror.
Saket confirmed the news, adding, “Yes, work has begun on my next project, but I can’t reveal details at this point.” When quizzed on the Hindi Medium sequel, the director said, “I’m not very keen on sequels so I decided it was best to move on to something new.”
