Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput jetted off to the Capital on Tuesday for a two-day break and some road-tripping. The couple was not accompanied by daughter, Misha, who is staying back in Mumbai with Shahid’s family. Mira’s stylish maternity wear has been getting her the thumbs-up from the fashion police and once again she did not disappoint as she turned up at the airport looking radiant in a lilac chudidar-kameez, paired with nude-coloured jootis. Shahid went casual in blue denims and a white shirt for the brief babymoon.

On April 20, Shahid had confirmed that Mira was pregnant again with an Instagram post of Misha and two revealing words, “big sister”. Apparently, it was his better half’s idea to announce the happy news on the social media and let the world know that the stork had visited them again. Since then, Mira, now in her second trimester, has been out and about, visiting spas, restaurants and even Misha’s school. Last week, the couple were spotted on a dinner date and more recently Mira hosted a bash for close friends. On the work front, Shahid has resumed shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s social-drama, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, in which he will be seen as a lawyer for the first time. Written by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal who earlier penned Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, Brothers and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, the film had been mired in controversy over producer Prernaa Arora’s financial troubles. She recently exited the project and T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar has now taken over the film. Shooting resumed last Friday.

After he wraps up Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shahid will jump into the Hindi remake of the Telugu super-hit Arjun Reddy, which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The 36-year-old actor plays a lovelorn hero with anger management issues. The film kicks off in July.
