After delivering the sleeper hit Tumhari Sulu, for which leading lady Vidya Balan bagged the Filmfare Best Actress, filmmaker Suresh Triveni is teaming up with Ayushmann Khurrana for a music video titled “Chan Kithan”.
The soulful romantic song will be the actor-singer’s fifth single after
three collaborations with co-composer Rochak Kohli — “O Heeriye”
featuring Rhea Chakraborthy, “Yahin Hoon Main” with Yami Gautam and
“Mitti Di Khusboo” with Huma Qureshi — and the 2016 single, “Ik Vaari”,
which he composed with actor-brother Apaarshakti Khurrana, with Aisha
Sharma featuring in the video. For “Chan Kithan”, Ayushmann has written,
composed and given playback, besides featuring in the video as an army
man. The unit is scheduled to take off to the North-East by the
month-end to shoot the song over a four-day schedule.“Suresh wanted to present Ayushmann in a never-seen-before avatar and is certain that the audiences will be pleasantly surprised to see him step into a uniform for the first time. The song is a soul-stirring number and will be filmed at some of the most picturesque locations in Sikkim, with mountains, monasteries, lakes and winding roads as the backdrop,” a source close to the development told Mirror.
Ayushmann debuted his music at the box-office with his 2012 debut, Vicky Donor’s “Pani Da Rang”, which went on to become one of the year’s biggest chartbusters. Since then, he’s sung “Saddi Gali” and “Tu Hi Tu” for Nautanki Saala, “Khaamakhaan” for Bewakoofiyaan, “Dil-e-Naadan” for Hawaizaada, and the recent, “Nazm Nazm” for Bareilly Ki Barfi and “Kanha” for Shubh Mangal Savdhan.
