Juhi Chawla and Arshad Warsi who last shared screen space in 2008 in Jaideep Sen’s Krazzy 4, are set for a reunion. The actress has a guest spot in Arshad’s next film, an as-yet untitled psychological thriller directed by ad filmmaker Niddish Puuzhakkal, for which she started shooting on Monday.

The film follows a common man who finds himself in uncommon situations. Juhi’s cameo adds a twist to the edge-of-the-seat story. “The film is a new space for me as I am not playing the usual Miss Goody-two-shoes. My character is challenging and the first morning started with discussions on how I should play it. We finally kicked the shoot at 1 pm,” Juhi reminisces, pointing out that after Arjun Pandit (1999) and Gulaab Gang (2014), this is only her third film in which she plays a character with shades of gray.

After shooting her parts over three days, Juhi is set to feature in a song, which will be filmed later this month. “The film is highly stylised and unusual, a far cry from the run-of-the-mill kind of films. Though the treatment is very different, the audience will find something familiar in it too,” Juhi promises.

The film, which wraps up by month-end, also features Divya Dutta as Arshad’s wife.
