It’s that time of the year again when everyone is in the mood to spread cheer and be with their loved ones. And that’s exactly what Jacqueline Fernandez plans to do. With two back-to-back releases — A Gentleman and Judwaa 2 — this year, the actress, who is shooting for her forthcoming film Race 3, is now looking forward to unwind with her family. She says, “I’m super excited as I’ll be going on a vacation with my entire family for Christmas and New Year. All of us will be together after a long time.”

Jacqueline shares that Christmas is one of her most favourite festivals. She reminisces how she and her three siblings would celebrate it with much pomp. She recalls, “It was so much fun. We would put up a Christmas tree and a day before X’mas, we went to church for mass. When we came back home, we would stay up way past our bedtime. My mom would make hot chocolate and then all of us would open the gifts.”

Every year, Jacqueline gifts goodies to her friends and team members. Since this season is incomplete without a stocking, the effervescent actress ensures that everyone she works with gets one. “For me, this is an entire month of caring and sharing. I like to gift healthy brownies, candies and cookies to everybody. I also buy books, clothes and jewellery, in short, anything that can be packaged as a gift and kept under the tree,” she smiles. This time, she has bought gadgets for her friends as well as shoes and make-up for the girls in her family.

Though the leggy lass likes to indulge her sweet tooth, she ensures that she doesn’t bid adieu to her fitness regime during this festive season. In fact, she believes in striking a balance between the two. She reveals cheekily, “I have so many cakes in my fridge right now. I share with as many people as I can. Also, I never indulge in sweets after 4 pm. So, I usually end up eating cakes for breakfast.”

The Sri Lankan beauty attributes her love for fitness to her mother who makes brownies, cookies, and muffins loaded with bananas and honey. “My mother was the one who initiated me towards a healthy lifestyle since an early age. We have always followed a balanced diet,” she narrates.

Quiz her on what she expects from Santa Claus this time and pat comes her reply, “I’m just happy that I’ll be with my family. At the end of the day, there is nothing more important than spending quality time with your loved ones. No amount of wealth or materialistic comfort can beat that.”
