More Bollywood A-listers are scheduled to descend at the closing ceremony of the ongoing IFFI in Goa this year. To mark the beginning of the 49th year of the festival, Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani and her team have got Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt to attend the finale on November 28. “At the last minute, Alia also agreed to arrive a day earlier and conduct a masterclass for young and budding actors,” the festival spokesperson told Mirror.
The closing ceremony was initially expected to reunite former co-stars Rajinikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan, who is being honoured at the ceremony. The two had shared the IFFI stage two years ago and had an hourlong impromptu chat. This year, Rajinikanth had to bow out as he is busy shooting for a film in Chennai. Huma Qureshi, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon will also be there.
Indo-Argentinian filmmaker Pablo César’s Thinking of Him is the closing film. It revolves around the relationship between Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore (Victor Banerjee) and Argentine feminist, writer and activist, Victoria Ocampo.
