Aditya Roy Kapur has not officially announced a single film since his last release, OK Jaanu. The actor has been reading several scripts and one of them has caught his fancy. It’s a film by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Reveals a source from the trade, “Aditya and Vishal have been meeting regularly and discussing this film that they are most likely to work on. Aditya has liked the script but he has not yet signed on the dotted line.”

A thriller?
The film will be in a space that Adi has not tried before. A little birdie tells us, “Aditya has mostly acted in chocolate boy roles, and all his films have been rom-coms. But Vishal’s film is a thriller, so, it will be way more intense for him. He wants to experiment and has got the perfect film.”

The big plans
Aditya is already in talks for Mohit Suri’s next and Abhishek Varman’s Shiddat. “Vishal is also going to be busy with his film with Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in the first half of 2018. Adi starts Shiddat around March-April. So, Vishal’s film with him will roll out mostly around June-July next year,” adds the source. Vishal will jointly produce the film with Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor. They have also joined hands with Bhardwaj on the DP-Irrfan project.
