Sanjay Dutt rushed back from a film screening to personally oversee the arrangements of his Diwali bash which started around 10 pm with the actor in perfect host mode in pristine white pathaani, his suede shoes matching the steel grey of his jacket. His son, Shahraan, looked like a mini version of papa while his twin, Iqra, looked as picture perfect as mamma Maanayata, who had chosen beige and gold as her colours for the evening, in her royal purple lehenga.
Jacqueline Fernandez’s autumnal mood was apparent in her red, yellow and purple ensemble while Sussanne Khan was a breath of spring in a lime green sari with ruffles. Anil was an East-meets-West fusion in kurta-jacket and jeansboots, going off on a stroll down memory lane with Sanju as they discussed cinema, then and now.
Sonali Bendre and Shilpa Shetty upped the glam quotient among Manyata’s non-filmi guests, who enjoyed the taash games and Bollywood hits that played in the background, some of them Sanju’s own. His favourite filmmakers, Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Siddharth Roy Kapur, were there too, along with his Khan buddies, Aamir and Salman. Sallu left within 10 minutes, wanting to stop by at Baba Dewan’s Diwali bash too. Raju, Vinod and Aamir were the last to leave after getting jaadu ki jhappis from their happy Munnabhai.
