Nargis Fakhri, who recently forayed into singing with the Indo-Canadian single, “Habitaan Vigaad Di” (Mirror, June 19), has now collaborated with American rapper Snoop Dogg, who’d made inroads in Bollywood with the title song in Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Kinng (2008), along with music producer Dr Zeus and singer Zora Randhawa, for another international music video. The team shot for the music video last month in Los Angeles. Confirming the news, Zora told Mirror, “Zeus and I have been working on this project for eight months now and we were introduced to Nargis recently. You will see a prominent American vibe in this video. It’s a fun party sequence shot in LA. We had a great time filming it.”

The song has been composed by Dr Zeus, while Zora has sung the Punjabi vocals with Nargis and the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” hitmaker Snoop Dogg accompanying on the English bits. Matt Alonzo, who has previously directed music videos for artistes Pitbull, Justin Bieber and Chris Cornell, called the shots. “Collaborating with Snoop Dogg breaks the international barrier. Nargis was a perfect fit for the video and this is her song as much as it is mine,” Zeus says.

Zora is all praise for his female co-star in the music video. “Nargis was fabulous during the LA shoot. It was a fun recording that we were able to wrap up in an hour. She has a natural swagger and the voice of a singer,” he signs off.
