They say a couple who has been together for long, acts alike. Well, it certainly is true in Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s case. The star wife, who turned 47 yesterday, brought in her birthday in the same style that Khan did in November last year.

Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the couple took off to their Alibaug farmhouse on Saturday. Keeping them company was AbRam, and Gauri’s friends Farah Khan and Kaajal Anand.

While Khan had a large turnout at his 51st birthday bash — Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar and Shweta Bachchan Nanda among others — the fiercely private star wife opted for a low-key affair with a select few friends. Buzz is her family and close friends flew down from Delhi for the do. As the clock struck 12, Farah posted a snapshot of her with the birthday girl and Khan on Twitter, as part of her birthday wish. They returned to Mumbai on a private ferry early Sunday evening.

Any hopes of being under the radar were quickly dashed as Khan was thronged by his fans at Gateway Of India. So much for being low-key!
