Shahid Kapoor, who recently returned from his first vacation in over a year — a two-week family holiday in London with wife, Mira Rajput and daughter, Misha — immediately jumped into the ongoing shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period-romance, Padmavati, at Film City.

The actor has already shot for 85 days but he was asked to commit another 20 days. The film was expected to wrap up by the month-end but the shoot has now been extended. Shahid agreed to change around his travel dates to accommodate Bhansali.

“He was actually planning to extend his break and bring in Misha’s first birthday in London but had to return due to Bhansali’s ongoing shooting schedule and celebrated both his daughter and Mira’s birthday in Mumbai. The maker is currently shooting crucial scenes between his character, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, and Deepika Padukone, who plays, Rani Padmavati,” a source close told Mirror.
