Producer-director Nikkhil Advani was in talks with Arjun Kapoor for his film Baazaar, in which the actor was to play the parallel lead to Saif Ali Khan. That didn’t work out because of date issues but now the Kapoor lad is all set to work with Advani in his next production.

“Arjun and Nikkhil go a long way. Arjun was an AD on Nikkhil’s Kal Ho Naa Ho and they share a warm bond. They have been planning to collaborate on a film and now they have found a great script,” reveals our source.

The source divulges further details about the film. “It’s another drama, and Saurabh Shukla will direct the film. It’s an interesting mix of comedy and romance, but it’s more in the drama space than a romcom.” Saurabh has earlier directed few small budget films, but this will be his big ticket venture. “Arjun has loved the script and okayed it. The modalities are being worked out. He has to finish Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Namastey Canada, post which, this untitled film will go on floors. Right now, the team is brushing up a bit on the script and getting the pre-production work in place,” informs the insider.
