Suniel Shetty, admittedly, has stayed away from films in the last three-four years, but he is back on the silver screen with a cameo in A Gentleman. The ’90s star reveals that despite being missing in action for a long time, he was always getting good offers. But he didn’t want to take them up, “I don’t know why I didn’t want to do anything. I was in a different space of mind till dad was alive. I wanted to work, but I don’t know what was stopping me. I got some amazing films in the last one-and-a-half years, but I just didn’t want to do them. I haven’t had a Friday release for three-and-a-half years before A Gentleman.”
But now, Suniel is on a signing spree. He reveals, “I am doing a very exciting silent film and it’s got a lot of humour. It’s an extremely funny, hilarious film, which will have 24-25 principal actors. It’s on a brilliant subject, but it’s an extremely difficult film to pull off.” He further adds, “There’s Ananth Mahadevan, who’s the creative director of the film. It’s a silent comedy, so there’s a very thin line. It’s not technically a pantomime. At least, I’m trying to do something different.”
