Until last week, Kriti Sanon’s romantic link-up was the talk of the town. Now, Sanon is relieved, because post the release of Bareilly Ki Barfi, her work is finally being discussed. “As actors, we put in a lot of effort into our work. It gets annoying when the focus shifts from our work to personal life. I am glad that with Bareilly Ki Barfi, my work is being appreciated and spoken about,” says Sanon.

She adds that she anticipated positive response for the movie. “I was nervous initially, but when the trailer was loved by the audience, it instilled confidence in me.”

Ask her if she feels the need to overcompensate since she doesn’t come from a filmi background and Kriti explains, “If you know someone in the industry, the only thing that works in the initial phase is getting the opportunities. Eventually, everyone has to prove themselves and it is all about talent. I am not trying to make a constant effort to do something radical to get noticed.”
