Is Sidharth Malhotra-Jacqueline Fernandez's A Gentleman inspired by True Lies?

If you watch the trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer A Gentleman, you might get that ‘seen that’ flashback feeling to Arnold Schwarzenegger-Jamie Lee Curtis starrer True Lies (1994).
Simple surface
For starters, both are action films. Both movies portray the protagonist as a boring, guy-next-door. Sidharth is shown as the good guy who does everything by the book; just like Arnold, who has a routine job and a dull life. Both the leading men lead secret lives as spies, which comes to light later. Although the trailer suggests that Sid is playing a double role, Rishi and Gaurav, it is in fact, the same guy.
Bored babes
While Jamie plays wife to Arnie, Jackie is Sid’s girlfriend. Both ladies are bored with the routine lives that their partners lead. They want that something-out-of-the-ordinary life. Both girls are fascinated by danger, recklessness and are eager for an adventure.
Stunt tales
The truth comes out, and so do the men, all guns blazing. Stunts involving cars, bikes, jumping off high rises and chase scenes follow. Both ladies even get kidnapped by baddies who are after their men. Similarities much?
