Mirror had earlier reported (April 4) that the makers of the Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer, A Gentleman, were waiting for their leading man to grow his hair as he had snipped it short for Ittefaq, before shooting a special song.
Buzz is, the team was in talks with Badshah as the idea was to recreate his old hit “Bandook”.
But now, with a sudden change in plan, we’ve learnt that the song will now be a retro track and won’t feature the rapper. It will be picturised on the lead pair in the first week of July.
Bosco Martis has come on board as the choreographer and rehearsals will kick off towards the-month end once Sidharth completes his on-going chedule of Neeraj Panday’s action-thriller Aiyaary and Jackie gets some time off from Sajid Nadiadwala’s twin comedy Judwaa 2. The song, set in the seventies in the Hollywood retro genre, will see the duo styled like the actors of the time. It is an original composition.
The action-comedy, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, also features Suneil Shetty and Darshan Kumaar.
