Saif Ali Khan was to have three releases this year. But now it looks like his film Chef, has been postponed indefinitely.

The release, which was to be on July 14, was put on hold after Jagga Jasoos announced they are releasing on the same day. The official reason given for the delay is the clutter of releases. Says director Raja Krishna Menon, “July 14 became over-crowded. There are too many releases in the first two weeks if July. We’re looking into a new release date. The producers feel we should get some sort of passage to ensure a proper release. Nowadays we have to consider Hollywood releases also while seeking a proper release date. I think there is too much time, effort and passion involved in the making of a film to be adamant about a release date.”

There has been no announcement of a new release date for Chef. So now it is unclear whether the actor will move one of his releases to 2018.
