So many Hindi superhero films in recent films. What sets Dragon apart?
It’s not a predictable story. All I can tell you is that Dragon is a unique story about love, mixed with a lot of power. It’s too early to reveal who has what superpower. But, it’s not a thriller. I don’t know if we have seen anything like Dragon ever before. That’s the beauty of the film.

Will the audiences see you as an action figure or a damsel in distress?
Yeah, I will have action scenes in the film. It’s not mindless, but serious action.

How about taking up an out and out action role?
I would totally love to do an action film where I get to kick butt. Dragon isn’t that film but maybe, a more fantasized version of it.

Your Dragon, like most superhero films cater to kids?
Not just children but everyone in a family, including mothers and fathers, will relate to the film, which is also very Indian in its roots. There’s no way Dragon won’t be accepted by Indian audiences. Even if there aren’t too many good films made for kids, I have always had a great connect with them. A huge part of my fan following is kids, and this film is totally for them.

Any favourite superhero?
I love Batman.

Is it true that Dragon will be a three-part series spread over the next 10 years?
Yes, we plan to make it as a three-part series. About the span of 10 years, only Ayan can talk about it. If that’s what he has said, then maybe that’s the plan.

Tell us more about your film with Ranveer Singh — Gully Boy?
Ranveer is a complete crackpot. I have worked with him in ads, and I think I have an idea about what shooting is going to be like. I’m excited because Gully Boy is an emotional story, and our characters are very interesting, so it will be a unique combination. I have always wanted to work with Zoya (Akhtar), who I think is absolutely fab. This year, I am working with two actors and two directors who I’ve always wanted to work with.
