Irrfan Khan to feature in screen adaptation of Mohsin Hamid's novel Moth Smoke

Irrfan
Khan will play the lead in Oscar-winner Asif Kapadia’s next, a screen
adaptation of Pakistani author Mohsin Hamid’s novel Moth Smoke. Irrfan,
Asif and producer Dina Dattani will introduce the film to buyers in
Cannes. Set in 1998 against the backdrop of nuclear tests by India and
Pakistan, the Lahorebased novel follows Darashikoh Shehzad, a social
misfit who begins an affair with his best friend’s wife.
