Makers of the Neerja biopic may have landed in a legal soup with the family of Neerja Bhanot, the brave-heart flight purser on whose life the National Award-winning film was based. The issue is over the commitment to share 10 per cent of the box office collections with the Neerja Bhanot Trust and the family. Reportedly, the Bhanots are moving the Punjab and Haryana High Court and a legal notice has already been sent to the makers.

The Ram Madhvani-directed film recently bagged the National Award for Best Hindi Feature Film and earned a Special Mention by the jury of the 62nd National Awards for Sonam Kapoor, who had portrayed the titular character.
