Taking a cue from athletes from the Rio Olympics who popularised cupping, Vidyut Jammwal is indulging in the ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist places cups on one’s skin.

This creates suction which reduces inflamation and pain, increases blood flow and is a deep tissue massage.

“Michael Phelps did it and the world was intrigued with the marks on his body. I’ve decided to do it when I have time because cupping leaves marks on the body for 8-10 days,” he says.
