MID-DAY (March 2, 2017)

Shilpa Shetty, who is currently in the US, visited the Google headquarters earlier this week. She was taken by surprise when she checked out the lunch menu at the cafeteria. To ensure a memorable welcome for her, the dishes had been named after her hit songs — Baras ja ae baadal rice (Baras ja from Fareb, :2005), Tum lasooni dal tadke mein rehte ho (Tum dil ki dhadkan mein rehte ho from Dhadkan, 2000) and Kadai chhole da karar lootne (Dilwalon ke dil ka karaar lootne, Shool, 1999).

This menu was designed just for a day, keeping in mind Shilpa’s love for Indian food. Coconut and ghee were used generously in all dishes since the actress always talks about their health benefits. Says Shilpa, “It was really cute. The warm welcome left me overwhelmed.”
