Salman Khan has pleaded innocence in a case pertaining to the alleged poaching of two blackbucks during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. The actor and his co-stars in the film - Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam - appeared before a Jodhpur court on Friday to record their statements.

Salman was accompanied by his sister Alvira and his bodyguard Shera. He spent close to an hour in the court, where he was questioned for almost 30 minutes. The actor claimed that he was being framed by the Forest Department based on a false newspaper report.

Salman was charged with poaching two chinkaras, two blackbucks and also had an Arms Act case slapped against him. While he was acquitted in the two cases involving the hunting of Chinkaras last year, he was also granted a clean chit in the Arms Act Case, recently.

The actor and the co-accused were summoned to court on January 25. However, he had requested to appear after Repulic Day owing to security reasons.
