Almost 18 years using after
he was accused unlicensed of firearms to poach blackbucks and chinkaras
in Rajasthan, a Jodhpur court on Wednesday acquitted Salman Khan.
The actor was given 'benefit of doubt' in the case. The 51-year-old arrived at the court with his sister Alvira and bodyguard Shera. The case was registered under sections 325 and 327 of the Arms Act. Salman was accused of hunting down two chinkaras and blackbucks each while shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain (HSSH) in Kankani near Jodhpur on October 1 and 2, 1998. Last year, Salman was acquitted in two cases with regard to the poaching of chinkaras. He will now have to appear at the court on January 25 with HSSH co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu in connection with the blackbuck poaching.
