Navdeep Singh, who will direct Anushka Sharma’s next production, laughed off reports suggesting that Arjun Kapoor, unhappy with his part, has walked out of the project.

“Anushka, Arjun and Diljit Dosanjh are the leads of Kaneda. Anushka and I want to make this the best possible film with the resources on hand. Arjun and Diljit fit their parts well and the characters they play are unlike anything they have done before,” says Navdeep, who had directed NH10 for Anushka earlier.

According to reports, the gangster drama was to go on the floors in March but he says it will take longer. “It’ll probably roll by mid-year and will be shot entirely in Canada in a start-to-finish, in one long schedule.”
