DANGAL (Hindi) had huge growth on its third Saturday as it went in double digits with business of 10 crore nett taking the 16 day day total to 320 crore nett and making it the second highest NETT grosser ever. The first two weeks did not see this sort of growth on Saturday but it was always likely this week as the Friday figures were down. The business on its third Friday did not beat the record set by PK two years back but it set a new record for the second Saturday beating the 8.25 crore nett of PK and by a margin also. The third weekend is set to be an all time record as it will beat the 26.75 crore nett of PK. It could even hit the 30 crore nett mark for the third weekend depending on what happens on Sunday. DANGAL (Hindi) had a record third Sunday of 13.50 crore nett. The collections on day 17 are higher than the opening day of all releases in 2016 barring five of which one is DANGAL itself and the other four being
SULTAN, M S DHONI - THE UNTOLD STORY, FAN and HOUSEFULL 3. It is also a record for third weekend business beating the 26.75 crore nett of PK and 19.75 crore nett of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN as it grossed 29.75 crore nett over a similar period. The total business of the film is 334.50 crore nett and it is possible it may become the highest grossing Hindi film in history on Monday as it crosses the 338 crore nett mark of PK which released two years back and managed to hold the lifetime record for a similar period.
