The octogenarian singer has been following the current Test series too, and took to Twitter on Monday to congratulate Indian captain Virat Kohli after his stupendous run with the bat. Virat scored 235 against England, the highest Test score by an Indian captain. Congratulatory messages poured in from all quarters, but the most special one was probably from the singer, who tweeted a video of her song Aakash Ke Us Paar Bhi to congratulate Kohli.

She tweeted, “Aaj 3rd match bahut aasani se hum jeet gaye. Main hamari puri team ka abhinandan karti hun. Khas taur se Virat Kohli ko badhaai deti hun jinhone 235 run banaaye.“ This isn't the first time the singer has tweeted in praise of Virat - the ardent Sachin fan has been following and lauding Virat's performances for some time now. This was Virat's third double century in this calendar year. The ton also marked his second in the ongoing series against England.
