Saif Ali Khan and Svar
Kamble, who plays his son in his upcoming film, Chef, have been shooting
in Delhi's famous Chandni Chowk. Director Raja Krishna Menon admits
they have been keeping the boy under wraps because “he is still a kid
and I didn't want people
hounding him and making his life difficult“.
Describing Svar as “truly talented“, the filmmaker adds that he shares a beautiful relationship with his on-screen dad even off-screen. “I auditioned over a 100 kids from all over the country and selected 50 who were then short-listed to 20 and finally five. When I saw Svar I knew he was the one. He has a great temperament and strong family support. He's the heart of our shoot,“ smiles Raja, admitting he got Saif and Svar to hang out together for a couple of hours before kicking off work. “They would read the script, then fool around so Saif is no longer a movie star to him.“
