Arjun Kapoor, who recently started shooting Anees Bazmee's comedy in a double role, might soon be seen as a Haryanvi cop in director-writer Dibakar Bannerjee's next, which is a dark thriller set in North India. The actor has agreed in principle but we hear he's yet to sign the dotted line. The film is scheduled to go on floors some time mid-next-year, after Arjun wraps up the wedding comedy he's filming currently.

The new movie will be shot across 60 days and could see Arjun teaming up with two other leading actors. “Dibakar is writing the final draft. Once it's ready and a final narration is done, the deal can be officially sealed,“ says a source in the know of the development.

We texted Arjun and Dibakar for their comment. Both the actor and the direc tor didn't respond till we went to press.
