The contemporary “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas” had to contend with bad weather in Georgia.

Vishal Pandya had the entire song sequence for his upcoming film, Wajah Tum Ho, planned to the smallest detail when he left for Georgia. The song was a contemporary rendition of the Kishore Kumar classic, “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas”, featuring Gurmeet Choudhary and Sanaa Khan and Vishal had planned to film it in a canyon, in the middle of a lake. They were going to shoot with helicams and jimmy jibs. Ten boats had also been leased out. But rains washed away all his plans.
“It poured like never before the night before and the canyon was submerged. Flash floods swept many parts of the region and all our permissions came to nought,” recalls Vishal.
He then approached the cops for permission to shoot elsewhere since they had hired a lot of expensive equipment. They were really helpful and not only blocked out an entire stretch of street for them but also cleared out some 200 cars from it. “When I told them that it was a dream sequence and we couldn’t have shops open and people walking in and out of our frame, the cops informed the shopkeepers who pulled down the shutters and stood around in groups at the opposite ends of the street, out of the camera field, to watch a Bollywood film shoot. They even stopped people from wandering in inadvertently and interrupting the shoot. And that’s how Georgia made 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas' happen,” Vishal smiles.
