However, there is an interesting tale behind his fixation. Senior Roshan forayed into production with hits like Aap Ke Deewane and Kaamchor. When he was making Jaag Utha Insan, a fan wrote to him suggesting he should name his movies starting with the letter K. The filmmaker didn't pay heed and Jaag Utha Insan as well as his following movie, Bhagwan Dada, flopped. That's when he revisited the fan's letter which pointed out that his biggest hits were films that began with K like Khoobsurat, Khatta Meetha, Kaamchor and Khandaan. After Khudgarz became a hit, Roshan decided to stick to his lucky mascot. The success of his productions like Khoon Bhari Maang, Kala Bazaar, Kishen Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3 affirmed his belief.

The filmmaker, who has teamed up with his son, Hrithik, since his debut Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, is now set for his next production, Kaabil, helmed by Sanjay Gupta, that releases on January 26, 2017.
Roshan, who has 50 titles registered starting with K, says, “As most of these films worked, I thought, why not stick to this alphabet. I won't make all the 50 films. It's for Hrithik to decide,“ he adds.
Roshan still retains the title Kainaat, which he had registered for a Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan-starrer. Eventually, he re-titled it Karan-Arjun. Kal Kissne Dekha was a title he gave Vashu Bhagnani for a production featuring his son, Jackky.
