Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan top contenders for Tony D’souza’s next revolving around a man who wants to wed desperately

The director of the Emraan Hashmi-starrer, Azhar Tony D’souza is producing a comedy next, along with his partner Nitin Upadhayay, on the lines of Kundan Shah’s iconic laugh riot, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan have been approached for the lead. Titled Behen Hogi Teri, the film is being directed by debutant Ajay Panwala and should release next June.

A source in the know reveals that Shakti Kapoor and Rajesh Sharma could also be a part of the cast. “The film will be shot in one long schedule in Lucknow from December to February. The plot revolves around a bachelor looking for a prospective bride, terrified of being called a brother by any girl.”

Tony, when contacted, confirmed that he is producing the film but said it was too premature to discuss details. “Casting is on,” he said.
