Actor-siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem are collaborating on their first production – a short film – which will take off by the month-end and features Saqib as the male lead. Hunt is currently on for the leading lady. It will be directed by Swati Trivedi who has worked as an assistant on several films including Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Fan and Raees.

While Huma remained unavailable for comment, Saqib confirmed the news to Mirror, adding, “Huma and I have been contemplating starting a production company to not only create content for ourselves but for other actors too. We are starting out with Swati’s short as she’s a dear friend. We thought, with a short film, we can grasp the nitty-gritty of production. The goal is to eventually make feature-length films in the future.”

While he is unwilling to reveal more details about the project, Saqib describes his production debut as “a film about the sweet moments between two people”. “The idea is to make a feelgood film with a possibility of romance between two people,” he signs off.
