Khubsoorat director Shashanka Ghosh's second collaboration with the Kapoor sisters, Sonam and Rhea, has been the talk of the B-town ever since Veere Di Wedding was announced. First, it was for Kareena Kapoor who came on board to join Sonam, Swara Bhaskar and debutante Shikha Talsania in the all-girls drama and then, the grapevine buzzed that her baby bump would making a fullfledged debut since her character in the film is pregnant too.

However, last month rumours were rife that the film has been put on hold because the makers have not been able to get financial backing from any leading production house, and also because Kareena who is due in December, had decided against shooting through the last three months of her pregnancy. However, both Sonam and Kareena who have known each other all their lives and have admitted to growing closer over the course of the prep, laughed off these rumours.

“We are going to decide when we are going to shoot. It could be for a couple of days in mid-October, then I will pick up the film post my delivery. I am definitely doing the film but we are still working out when to start shooting,“ Kareena told Mirror.

Last month, both Rhea and Shashanka had flown off to the Pataudi Palace when Kareena was holiday there with hubby Saif Ali Khan. The trio discussed the film's screenplay and schedule at length there. “If I enjoy the story, I will do the film, and if I don't like something, I'm always blunt and talk about it. When offers come to me, I tell the makers openly whether I am doing it or not. Sonam and Rhea are also like that - honest and open - and I like that,“ Kareena asserted.

On Sunday afternoon, Kareena and Sonam stepped into their pumps, and accompanied by Rhea and Kareena's manager-friend, Poonam Damania, sallied forth on a three-hour brunch at a plush Asian restaurant in the Bandra-Kurla Complex. The actresses stuck to vegan delights and no drinks were served. The actresses reportedly met up to finalize the details of the film. Rhea shared a picture of them on her social media, captioning it, “Drama for no reason.“ Sonam reposted it with a rejoinder, “Kapoor sisters, drama drama everywhere“, punning on the fact that Kareena too is a Kapoor girl.

A source from the restaurant however told Mirror that the brunch was not only about the movie and Kareena had the girl-gang in splits when she revealed that Saif was constantly pulling her leg, pointing out that she was eating a bit too much. The brunch ended with pouty selfies and Sonam exclaiming, “Red lips don't care!“ Rhea then grabbed onto Sonam's phone and started snapchatting with Kareena, calling it a “Begum takeover!“
