Buzz is that Sajid Khan, who had reportedly opted out of Housefull 3 after helming the first two instalments of the comedy franchise, is set to return to producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s camp — as director of Housefull 4. Industry insiders claimed Khan had a fall-out with Nadiadwala, but the latter insisted that Himmatwala was keeping the director-writer busy then. “Usually, a writer after one or two films gets into a saturation mode,” the producer had said.

Housefull 3, which released last June, was helmed by director duo Sajid-Farhad. “But, Khan and Nadiadwala recently met to iron out their differences and also discussed working together for Housefull 4,” says a source close to the production house.

When we reached out to Khan, he didn’t wish to divulge details of the collaboration. His response: “It’s too early to comment about it.” Nadiadwala, on the other hand, remained unavailable for comment. The spokesperson of his production house, however, maintains, “Work on the film will only start towards end of 2017 or beginning of 2018. No one has come on board as of now.”
