While most actresses are into pilates, yoga, cross-fit and weight training to keep themselves fit, Disha Patani prefers to do gymnastics. More interestingly, the young actress trains at a studio with a group of local boys. Says Disha, “I always wanted to do gymnastics. However, when I was younger, my family did not want me to take up either gymnastics, taekwondo or any of the martial arts forms. But when I watched this video of a group of boys from Tiger’s (Shroff) team doing gymnastics I loved it and decided to train with them. One of the boys from that group trains me.” Since it is a rigorous form of sport, Disha does it on alternate days. “There is a lot of stretching that tests your flexibility so you can’t do it everyday. Your body needs rest,” she explains.

Another sport Disha loves is basketball, which she played in school and was a state-level player. “I have always been into sports and luckily all these things have helped in my fitness too,” smiles the actress. An avid dancer — she used to shake a leg in front of the mirror when she was a child — Disha has taken up the hip-hop dance form to train. “Earlier I used to watch videos and dance, now I have my own team and I am enjoying it,” she says.
