Looks like Varun Dhawan's journey from India to the US was as action-packed as his last film, Dishoom. The 29-year-old actor and mentor Karan Johar were suitably fatigued after travelling for 48 hours straight. But the twosome got an energy boost when they ran into the Shah Rukh Khan at the Dubai airport. SRK was travelling with daughter, Suhana.

KJo and his student were so happy to see him that they lost track of time and missed their connecting flight to Houston. They finally took a later flight to New York from where they flew out to their destination. They made it just in time for the first show of their musical tour but missed the media interaction. Varun promised to make up for being a no-show at the presser with an extended turn on stage. All's well that ends well, right?
