Filmmaker Anurag Basu, whose upcoming Jagga Jasoos featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif is set to release in April 2017, believes that the film is ideal for children.

"When Barfi! was first screened everybody was happy but when my younger daughter saw it she didn't understand the movie and was not very impressed. I was really upset. So, I thought of making a film for children. Jagga is that film," he said while addressing the media on the sets of an upcoming dance-reality show that he is judging alongside Shilpa Shetty and choreographer Geeta Kapur. "It is a film that is extremely close to my heart," he added.

The comedy-drama-musical follows a teenage detective in search of his missing father and features over 15 songs.
