DISHOOM has had a decent weekend of around 37 crore nett in its first weekend. The collections are middling, not good but not bad also and the trend is also fair if we take the whole weekend into account. But limited Saturday growth is an issue and may tell on the film in the long run. The North has not quite performed for the film though East Punjab has an excuse with BAMBUKAT probably taking close to 1 crore out of the film but Delhi/UP is also not what it should be. North India was the likely driver of the film with it being a glossy action film and it remains to be seen if Delhi and Punjab can perform better over the next ten days or so which would really help its cause. The first weekend figures for DISHOOM are as follows.

Mumbai circuit was the best performer with business of 12 crore nett apprx but Mumbai circuit tends to come down on Monday more than other circuits unless its a Maharashtra or Gujarat based film which has been accepted. A huge chunk of the Saturday growth came in Mumbai. The weekdays are crucial for the film especially Monday and it needs better than average trend to get a fair end result. The plus is weak releases next week which gives it a good two week run but it can only benefit from that if weekdays sustain.
