The acronym FYI can stand for many things besides 'for your information', 'for your inspiration' and 'for your innovation'. When we asked best-selling author Chetan Bhagat what FYI means to him, he said, “For Young India.“ True to the subject of his books, young India is the centre of FYI TV18 - a new TV channel that has relationships at the core, and is fun, progressive and refreshing. The author recently joined hands with celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani to create fresh, never-seen-before entertainment on FYI TV18. The channel features shows centred around food, home improvement and relationships predominantly.

Chetan's Real 2 States Couples follows the travails of a cross-cultural couple in a relationship trying to adjust with each other's families. He says, “Truth can be stranger than fiction and when you see Real 2 States Couples, you'll realise why. There are many inter-state love stories pushing the boundaries of social change and each of them is a fantastic story. I personally believe that fun, light-hearted entertainment is here to stay and I'm glad new channels like FYI are taking the plunge.“

While Real 2 States Couples explores the relationship dynamics of a couple and their families before a wedding, Rivals-in-law highlights equations of couples well into their marriage. The series, hosted by Vicky, features a cooking contest between a daughter-in-law and her mother-in-law, with the husband as the judge. Says Vicky, “In India, food has always been more about relationships than taste. We've added more spice by making both women cook in one kitchen at one time. It's a very novel concept and I'm sure viewers will love it.“
