Ekta Kapoor is known to be extremely superstitious. From numerology to tarot, astrology and gemmology, there is nothing the producer doesn’t explore. So when her pandit told her to remove her and her mother Shobha Kapoor’s name as co-producers from the Great Grand Masti posters. And naturally, Ekta listened.
A source says, “While their production house’s name Alt Entertainment is there on the GGM posters, as are the names of the other co-producers, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Sri Adhikari brothers and Anand Pandit, the Kapoors are conspicuous by their absence. This was done deliberately to ensure the movie would a hit. It so happened that when the Kapoors signed the movie they realised that it was rahu kaal and they are very superstitious. Their pandit suggested that to make the movie a hit they don’t put their names.”
According to the source, "Ekta and Shobha were first co-producers to come on board. Then came the Bros and Anand Pandit. Ashok and Indra Kumar are the main producers. After all this, now one will have to see how correct the reading of the pandit is!”
