Writer-director Nitya Mehra
hosted a birthday bash on Friday night for the leading lady of her
directirial debut, Baar Baar Dekho. In a strappy red dress, sans
make-up, Katrina Kaif looked radiant as she brought in her 33rd birthday
with family and friends.

At midnight, three cakes were brought out
to buddy Karan Kapadia's Juhu residence. Katrina arrived with mom,
Suzanne Turquotte, and three of her sisters. Kat confirmed that sister
Isabelle Kaif who had completed her training from the Lee Strasburg Film
School was planning to follow in her footsteps. “She's really talented
so I am excited!“ she exulted.

Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya
Roy Kapur, Abhay Deol, producer-sisters Aarti and Pooja Shetty Deora,
filmmakers Ronnie Screwvala, Vikas Bahl, Ali Abbas Zafar, choreographer
Bosco Martis, Anaita Shroff Adajania and Salman Khan's sister Alvira
Agnihotri who arrived with fitness expert Yasmin Karachiwala were the
early birds at the all-nighter. Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, fresh
from a recent holiday together, stayed close and left together. But it
was the happily married Kabir Khan and Mini Mathur who were (as always)
voted “the prettiest and most delightful jodi of B-town“. No surprises
there! The birthday girl revealed that it was KJo who had called to tell
her that she should sign one of the most interesting love stories he'd
heard in a really long time. She'd cried while listening to the
narration of Baar Baar Dekho and thanked KJo for getting her the film.
The actress then started chatting about the upcoming
Dream Team tour to the US, where Sid and she will perform to some
exclusive tracks from the film for the first time.

Three birthday
cakes, grooving to “Teri Ore“ from Singh Is Kinng and her favourite
Namaste London chartbusters and several selfies later, Kat headed back
to her sea-facing Carter Road residence. But before speeding away, she
arranged for snacks and drinks for the paparazzi who had been following
her since she'd left her Bandra home. While exiting, she rolled down her
car window and waved out to the tired photographers, thanking them and
wishing them good night. Atta girl! On Saturday morning, a sleepy Kat
stepped into denim shorts and a white tank top to unveil her first
social media video shot inside the home she'd once shared with her
ex-beau, Ranbir Kapoor. She stepped into her breezy balcony to announce,
“I am here! Be nice... It's my birthday!“ and promised to come on a live chat later in the day, for the
first time, since, she made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with Boom.
Salman Khan set the ball rolling with his message, “Welcome to Facebook
and wishing you a very happy birthday“ to which Kat replied, “Thank
you, Sultan!“ Chatting with her fans she admitted that she was exhausted
because she'd stayed up till late Friday night. “I haven't had a chance
to open all my presents, but my mom gifted me a beautiful necklace.
That's my favourite gift so far,“ she revealed.

When a fan
prodded her on marriage, she exclaimed, “When am I getting married! I'll
let you know when I do! I don't know yet!“ This was followed by her
confiding that her favourite film of all time was Gone With The Wind
because it is “very romantic, passionate,
all about undying love... The way it should be“.
She spoke about
wanting to do a female-superhero film and a meaty, women-centric role. “I
was going through the behind-the-scenes pics of Raajneeti and thinking
how much I enjoyed the process, my character and working with
Prakash Jha. I look forward to some thing like that,“ she insisted.
She plans to take off to Goa soon too. “I used to vacation there a lot earlier, but I stopped doing so. I think I will take off to Goa soon,“ she beamed.
