David Dhawan’s two sons can sigh in relief. His elder
son Rohit Dhawan’s second directorial venture Dishoom has been certified
‘U/A’ by the Censor Board sans cuts.
Says a source from the CBFC, “It’s a fun film and we thought it warranted a ‘U’ since kids would love Varun Dhawan’s banter with John Abraham. But the film has Jacqueline Fernandez providing oomph. And the theme of betting in cricket is not suitable for kids.” However no cuts were ordered.
Says the source, “Like his pal Salman Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala’s cinema is always free of vulgarity. These two Bollywood entertainers show how films can be entertaining without crossing into crassness.”
