DISHOOM grossed a decent 11 crore nett on day one giving it the sixth best opening of the year after SULTAN, FAN, HOUSEFULL 3, BAAGHI and AIRLIFT.  Its a decent number especially if the film can improve well on Saturday and Sunday which is a must as without solid growth on both Saturday and Sunday it won't go far. The film was on the lower side in metro multiplexes though it was better than BAAGHI in the metros but could not compare in the tier 2 and 3 cities with that film despite doing doing pretty well itself. The Punjabi film BAMBUKAT hit in East Punjab more than enough so collections stayed below the AIRLIFT opening day numbers.

The film grossed 3.50 crore nett apprx in Mumbai, 2.25 crore nett apprx in Delhi/UP and 1.10 crore nett approx in East Punjab. The film will be have to be driven by these areas in terms of growth especially on Saturday.

The other releases like LOVE KE FUNDAY, MISSION TIGERS and MURDER MADHURI were as expected with little or no collections.
