The shoot of the Jolly LLB sequel kicked off in a Mumbai studio on Monday. While the original film which released in 2013 had Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani playing rival lawyers this one has Akshay Kumar and Annu Kapoor slipping into these roles. Only Saurabh Shukla has been retained as the judge, this time around too.

Says a source close to the development, “Akshay plays a UP-based lawyer, that explains the moustache and the tikka on his forehead and reflects the research of his styling team. The shoot kicked off at around 9 am with a courtroom scene which had Akshay and Annu presenting their arguments.“ Speaking about the shooting schedule the source adds, “The shoot will continue for around 10 days after which Akshay will get busy with promotions of his upcoming film Rustom in which he is on the wrong side of the law. The team moves to UP for the next schedule sometime in August.“ As Mirror had earlier reported, Huma Qureshi will play Akshay aka Jolly's lady love.

Interestingly, this is the first time that Akshay is playing a lawyer in his 27-year career and has been researching for the part since the last few weeks.
