Ever since the trailer of Housefull 3 (HF 3) has been launched, the makers of this family entertainer have vouched that viewers can expect it to be a joyride. The songs and promotional events have only added to the hype around this Sajid Nadiadwala production, which stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri.

Since this is the third instalment of one of the biggest comedy franchises, there has been a lot of anticipation about this Sajid-Farhad directorial. Just like its first two successful instalments, in the third outing too the actors enjoyed a great camaraderie both on screen as well as off screen. Given that everything has been raised to the power of three for this entertainer, here are nine fun things that happened during the shooting and promotion of the film that releases on June 3.


1. The HF 3 men were supposed to have a scene with Vin Diesel. But since the Hollywood action star was busy shooting with Deepika Padukone, they had to make do with Vin Petrol instead.


2. Akshay and Riteish, the two actors who have been constants in the franchise, enjoyed long sessions of table tennis. However, the catch here is that they played the game without a ball.


3. Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek played the new heroines of the movie in a video, which they posted online. The trio, who sported blonde wigs in it and nodded their heads gleefully, created quite a stir on social media with their act.


4. The three leading ladies - Jacqueline, Lisa and Nargis - who were working with each for the first time bonded well. During the shoot, they would hang out together and even had an all girls' night out after pack-up. Their off-screen camaraderie added to their bonding on screen. Even during the promotional campaign, the teen deviyaan met like long lost friends.

5. The HF 3 team surprised the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil team in London when they dropped on the set where the latter was filming. Abhishek, Riteish and Boman met Ranbir Kapoor and wished him all the best for the film.


6. To make the shoot memorable, the HF3 team played Secret Santa and exchanged gifts during Christmas last December.


7. It's not every day that one hears of a film's ensemble cast travelling together for their promotional activity. Akshay led the pack with his 'carfull' idea. He along with his co-actors carpooled for promotional activities, not just in Mumbai but in other cities too.


8. Though the three actresses got along like a house on fire, Jacqueline and Lisa also had their share of catfights, albeit on a comic note. So much so that their banter earned them the nick names of  'Tom and Jerry of the HF3 family'.

9. Once, Jacqueline and Akshay indulged in a fun face-swapping session during a promotional activity. We hear it was so hilarious that they left the crowd in splits with their antics.
