After announcing to the world that he and his girlfriend Ankita Lokhande have split, it seems Sushant Singh Rajput has taken a break from social media. He deleted both his microblogging and photo-sharing accounts. One of his last tweets read -“Neither she was an alcoholic nor I am a womaniser. People do grow apart and its unfortunate. Period!! (sic.)“ There were constant reports about his 'friendly' bond with his Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon and to avoid any further speculations on his personal life, the actor probably thought it was best to get some respite from the digital space. Well Sushant, the paparazzi still has their eyes on you.

For the last couple of months, Sushant Singh Rajput has been in the spotlight more for his personal life (read: break-up with longtime sweetheart Ankita Lokhande) than his films. And it seems the unsolicited attention has gotten to him. For, the actor has disappeared from the social media sphere, perhaps to shut out the world that’s keeping a curious eye on the latest developments in his life.

Sushant is currently in Budapest shooting with Kriti Sanon for Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta. Since the news of his break-up started circulating in March-end, he has faced a barrage of questions from his social media followers even as numerous theories about their difference continued to abound. After a long period of silence, he posted a confirmatory tweet on May 4 saying, “Neither she was an alcoholic nor I am a womaniser. People do Grow apart & its unfortunate. Period!! (sic).”

Public curiosity, however, barely faded. Quite recently, rumours of his growing closeness with his Raabta co- star have also surfaced. “He has been active on social media, talking about his work in the upcoming MS Dhoni biopic and other projects. However, fans seem interested only in his personal life. On Friday, he deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts to keep the unwanted attention at bay and concentrate on his film,” says a source.

Sushant remained unavailable for comment. As for Ankita, the actress has been giving constant updates about her life to the Twitterati. Last Wednesday, she made her first solo appearance since the split at the premiere of Sarbjit. When asked about handling the break up, she said, “Do I look depressed? Not at all, in fact I am happy. Though, this is not right place to talk about my relationship status; but yes, we (Sushant and I) will definitely speak about it at the right time.”
