Sridevi has been busy filming her upcoming home production, Mom, since the last few weeks. The 52-year-old actress, last seen in English Vinglish, in 2013 has canned some tough action sequences with co-stars Akshaye Khanna and Abhimanyu Singh. With her is husband and the film's producer Boney Kapoor, and daughters, Jahnvi and Khushi.

A source from the sets reveals, “The team is shooting in minus seven degrees in a small town, Mestia. They have been shooting in six-feet-deep snow and Sridevi called for extra heaters since some crew members had developed frostbite.“

Abhimanyu informed Mirror that he plays a Jat with a criminal background. “For the action sequences with Akshaye in snow, the script demanded that I wear regular shoes instead of snow boots. Akshaye noticed that I had frostbite and requested director Ravi Udyawar to call 'Cut',“ adding that the sun sets only around 8.30 pm and he'd been shooting all day in the snow till Ravi called it a day around 7.30 pm. “Boney later gifted me branded shoes.“

Shooting began in Delhi on March 6 with Sridevi spotted on the SRCC campus which had been turned into Green Field School, as a teacher. The emotional drama revolves around the conflict between a stepmom and her 18-year-old daughter played by Pakistani actress Sajal Aly. Adnan Siddiqui, another Pakistani actor, is Sridevi's husband and Sajal's father. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in a cameo. The biggest casting coup was getting the nod from Akshaye, last seen in 2012 in the political satire Gali Gali Chor Hai.
