Last year, after Katti Batti released, director Nikkhil Advani and Kangana Ranaut confirmed that they were returning for an action-packed thriller. Now, we hear that film might never see the light of the day.

A source reveals, “That film is on the back-burner right now. Nikkhil had planned a film about serial killers with Kangana playing a tough cop, but it’s learnt that the film has been shelved. Nikkhil might want to revisit the film after a few years, perhaps with a different cast.”

The source adds that Advani is busy with other assignments presently. “He wants to finalise the cast of Bazaar because that’s one project he’s lived with for years. That and his TV show.”

As for the film with Kangs, “He has already discussed another project with her. She has liked the idea. But even for that, Nikhil wants to wait it out because he fears that the ongoing Hrithik-Kangana spat which will affect his film.
