After romancing Akshay Kumar
in Singh is Bliing, Amy Jackson will be seen as a talent manager to
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a golfer, in Sohail Khan's upcoming directorial,
Ali. “I didn't know anything about golf so I did my own research before
we began shooting and I really like the sport now. It's a powerful and
classy role, along the lines of Jerry Maguire,“ says the 24-year-old Brit
beauty, who is currently shooting in Pune. A major portion was filmed
in Delhi early last month.
Do we get to see her tee off as well? “I did pick up a golf club but I don't play much on screen. But I have started practicing in earnest whenever I get time. I used to play after pack up as well,“ says the actress, admitting that Nawaz's character falls in love with her in the course of the film and she reciprocates his feelings. “But it happens gradually. He is a fantastic actor and is known to be intense but is actually great fun on the sets and extremely helpful,“ asserts Amy, who will wrap up Ali in the next six days and head to Chennai to shoot for a special number in the Prabhu Dheva and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer yet-to-be-titled trilingual, being directed by A L Vijay.
Vijay had directed her in her debut film, Madrasapattinam, so it's a very special song for Amy. It's a quirky, fun and a super energetic number which she will be rehearsing sometime next week, followed by a three-day shoot. “I had done a small dance sequence in Singh is Bliing, but this is a full-fledged song and I can't wait to start shooting for it. Prabhu sir is a fabulous dancer. His song with Madhuri Dixit in Pukar, “Que Sera Sera“, is one of my favourites and I'm really excited,“ she gushes.
